A fund drive has been set up for a Manchester woman who was shot in the head in a random attack in Dubuque last month. Thirty-four-year-old DeAnna Johnson and 41-year-old Ronald Morman were shot in a robbery at the Dubuque fairgrounds April 12th. Morman has since been released from the hospital. Family members say Johnson was recently transferred from Iowa City to a hospital in Waterloo where she’s undergoing rehabilitation. A fund drive to help pay Johnson’s medical expenses has been set up at the First State Bank in Manchester. Thirty-six-year-old Jerry Cole of Dubuque pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree robbery in the shooting. He will go on trial May 14th.
