The Lynnville-Sully baseball team has been avoiding rainouts lately and coach Mike Anderson says that has allowed his team to make strides. The Hawks entered the week 14-1 and are ranked third in class 1A in the latest Radio Iowa/Baseball Coaches Association Poll. He says the kids are getting in a groove now that they can play more games.Lynnville-Sully made the semifinal round of the state tournament last year and Anderson says there are a number of veterans back from that team and it is showing. He says the biggest evidence of that is their patience at the plate.
