A thunderstorm caused lots of problems at an eastern Iowa courthouse today. Manchester firefighters were called to the Delaware County courthouse when fire alarms started going off early this morning. Firefighters determined lightning had struck and melted a radio tower on top of the building. The lightning strike knocked out all of the computers in the building, some of the phone service and disabled an elevator. The county treasurer was unable to process vehicle license information due to the computer outage.
