Des Moines police say the man who was shot and killed in a carjacking yesterday was an innocent victim who died trying to do a good deed. Sergeant Bruce Elrod says the Des Moines women shot Tam Minh Vu after getting him to agree to give them a ride from a gas station.Elrod says the two women, 17-year-old Porsha Allen and 23-year-old Jesette Williams, shot Vu in the stomach after a short ride.After shooting Vu, the women and went to a local mall and went on a shoplifting spree. They were later caught as tbey tried to get drugs from a friend. Both are charged with first degree murder. Elrod says the detectives describe the women as “two of the most cold-blooded and heartless people they’ve run across in many years.” He says they showed no remorse for what they’d done.Elrod says the women tried to blame everyone else once they were caught.Elrod says Vu is originally from Vietnam and had been in the U-S for several years. Elrod says Vu returned to Vietnam in January to get married.
