ISU defender anxious to get on the field

After watching college football the last couple of weekends Iowa State defensive end Kevin DeRonde says he is itching for a game. The Cyclones open Saturday night at home against Northern Iowa. DeRonde says he watched all the games last weekend with a keen eye to see how the teams acted.Kevin DeRonde says the Cyclones expect a challenge and says they look at it just like a Big 12 game.As the lone senior he wants to be a leader on the defensive line.
