A Nebraska woman died yesterday when she was struck and killed by a pick-up on Interstate-80 near Avoca. Kim Crawford was riding in a van that slid off the icy roadway into a ditch. Crawford, her husband and two daughters climbed safety out of the van and were standing on the shoulder of the road. Crawford was telephoning for help when a pickup truck lost control on the same patch of ice and slid into the family. Crawford died at the scene. Her two daughters are in an Omaha hospital; one is listed in critical, the other in serious condition. Her husband and the driver of the pickup both escaped injury.
