Record high temperatures warmed Iowans in many cities on Tuesday, according to meteorologist Miles Schumacher at the National Weather Service.The warmest spot in the state Tuesday was 64 in Shenandoah. Des Moines had a record high of 59-degrees — the normal high was 29. For comparison, the high Tuesday in Los Angeles was only 61, while it only reached 56 in Las Vegas. Today’s highs across Iowa should be mainly in the 30s but Schumacher says another warm-up is on the way for this weekend. Highs will hit the 50s and 60s.He says there’s a chance for light snow early next week.
