The Drake men’s second half comeback fell short against Missouri Valley Conference leader Southern Illinois last night as the Bulldogs fell 79-64. Andry Sola had 13 points to lead Drake which fell to 3-5 in the conference and 8-10 overall. Southern Illinois didn’t come out of the night unscathed as their women fell to UNI in Cedar Falls 79-42. Katie Miller led UNI with 23 points. UNI upped their conference record to 6-2, into third place in the Valley. They’re now 11-8 overall. The Iowa women won their fifth straight Big Ten conference game in convincing fashion over Michigan State 75-55. Jenny Lillis had 20 points for Iowa. The Hawkeyes move into second place in the conference with a 6-2 record and are now 13-5 overall.
