A Cedar Rapids man who pleaded guilty in what authorities think is a four-county string of burglaries, has been sentenced to ten years. 18-year-old Nathan Vorthums and 33-year-old Charles Montes, also of Cedar Rapids, are charged in a series of burglaries of homes and businesses in Benton, Linn, Delaware and Clayton counties. Vorthums was also fined and ordered to pay court costs and victim restitution. Earlier, Montes was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for his part in the burglary spree.
