The source of that gasoline leak in northeast Iowa could be repaired before long. Officials with B-P Oil Company say a damaged gasoline pipeline in Delaware County could be back in operation as early as today. A 10-inch pipeline was ruptured early Wednesday afternoon by a contractor who was laying drainage tile in a farm field near Edgewood. Contractors for the company were working Thursday night to restore the line, which carries low-octane gasoline from Indiana to a refinery in Minnesota. A DNR investigation to determine the extent of the environmental damage may be completed next week.
