One person is in custody and another is being sought in connection with the murder of a Davenport man. 16-year-old Joseph Lee Hildebrant is in jail on one million dollars bond. He was picked up Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder and willful injury in the death of 58-year-old Ronald Eugene Brinkley. Brinkley’s body was found in west Davenport shortly after 7:30 on Sunday morning. An autopsy showed he had died of blunt force trauma. Police say Hildebrant and 20-year-old Colt Lee Krana were involved in a car accident with Brinkley. They say Hildebrant and Krana beat Brinkley at the scene, then followed him when he fled in his car. Police say the pair then punched and kicked the victim repeatedly in the head and chest when they caught him in an alley behind his residence. An arrest warrant has been issued for Krana.
