The Iowa State Cyclones hope to take it to another level on Saturday with a visit to second-ranked Oklahoma. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says the program has taken a number of big steps this season and the game against the Sooners offers another step forward. He says he’s told his kids this is why they all came here and they want to stay in the hunt for everything.McCarney says to have a chance the Cyclones will need to find a way to score against what may be the best defense in the country that has a great scheme and plays with relentless effort.McCarney says the Sooner defense never takes a play off, something he says is unusual.With a 6-1 record and a number nine ranking the Iowa State Cyclones have reached a level no other Cyclone team has reached this season. But McCarney says they will need to take it to another level this weekend against second-ranked Oklahoma.
