The Iowa basketball tream returns to action Sunday at home againsy Liberty. The Hawkeyes are off this week for final exams and while coach Steve Alford expects all the players to come through the first semester in good shape he realizes there are no guarantees. He says he’s had an interesting five months, and he’s learned not to assume anything.The Hawkeyes are 6-2 and Alford says considering their limited numbers it’s a good start.Alford says the Hawkeye have shortcomings but desire is not one of them.Alford hopes the turnovers will diminish as the Hawks gain experience.
