(Miami)-While the Iowa defense is preparing to face the Heisman Trophy winner, Hawkeye offensive coordinator Ken O’Keefe has been trying to put together a plan to break through the Trojan defenders. O’Keefe says they’ll come after you. O’Keefe says there aren’t many chinks in the armor of USC’s defense. O’Keefe expects USC to blitz his offense, and make it tough to avoid. He says quarterback Brad Banks will play a big role in beating that defense in the reads he makes and the play changes he calls at the line of scrimmage. O’Keefe is confident Banks can make the right calls. O’Keefe says the ability to make play adjustments at the line of scrimmage is the thing Banks has developed this season that’s led to his great success. He says it’s an acquired skill that requires patience from the coaches who work with the quarterbacks.O’Keefe says Banks gives them a lot of options when they get to a point where they need to make play changees, and that will be a key in tomorrow’s Orange Bowl match up.
