Drake will be looking to snap a seven-game road losing streak but has a difficult assignment this evening with a visit to Wichita State in Missouri Valley Conference action. The Shockers are 9-5 overall and have opened Valley action with victories in four of their first five games.Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie says he’s impressed with the way the team plays together and how hard they play. Bulldog junior guard Luke McDonald is averaging just over 14-points per game but has struggled to get shots against a variety of defenses. Kanaskie says McDonald is taking advantage of the attention to get teammates open, as he already has more assists this year than he did last year. Kanaskie says Greg Danielson has benefited the most as McDonald has been able to get him the ball a lot more. Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon says Drake’s balanced scoring is a concern.Drake is 2-4 in the Valley and 7-10 overall.
