Broken water main leaves Alburnette icy

The eastern Iowa town of Alburnett turned into an ice rink overnight. A water main ruptured overnight, leaving many streets covered with water that froze into ice, and creating slippery conditions. The downtown area and the school were without water for much of the night as it took crews several hours to repair the broken water main.
