A new attraction is all about a new amusement park, but the main attraction itself is not an amusement park. It’s the latest exhibit by the Omaha Children’s Museum …and it features a playground that isn’t in Omaha. A new amusement park planned for Council Bluffs is expected to be a big draw, touting a world-class roller-coaster ride and teamed with the city’s new arena and a casino if the biggest of plans all comes to pass. The new interactive exhibit will focus on the amusement park as it’s designed and built, with artwork, pictures of the ongoing development and some physical items like ride seats. Planners say when it’s done, the 70 (m) million dollar amusement park will feature 40 attractions on 77 acres on Council Bluffs’ south side. They’re not giving a completion date yet, but the Omaha Children’s Museum show about the amusement park will be on display through September.
