Big 12 coaches and players are meeting this week in Kansas City to preview the season, and Iowa State has big shoes to fill at quarterback. ISU wide receiver Lane Danielson says Seneca Wallace will be missed, but the team will move on. With the suspension of junior Chris Love who had the lead in the quarterback race, question marks now arise. But at the Big 12 media day in Kansas City, Iowa State coach Dan McCarney said the team’s overall balance will help whoever stands over center. McCarney says the supporting cast will be stronger this year, giving the quarterbacks a bigger opportunity for success even though they’re going to be brand new. The Cyclones open up the season one month from today against Northern Iowa.
