The president of a group that’s a watchdog over unscrupulous business practices has resigned after questions about her own management. The President of the Des Moines Better Business Bureau resigned last Thursday, but the announcement came Monday morning in a short news release. Mary Kruger Eyler had been with the Des Moines B-B-B for 21 years, but has been on administrative leave after questions were raised in June about office procedures. The chair of the B-B-B board says an internal audit reviewed office procedures, and new rules have been put in place. As for whether criminal charges may be filed, Des Moines Better Business Bureau board chair Teri Wood says she “doesn’t know.”
