The Northern Iowa Panthers will look for their sixth straight victory in their annual homecoming game on Saturday when they host Indiana State. The Panthers opened Gateway Conference play with a win at Illinois State and coach Mark Farley says they will have plenty of motivation in this game, including a loss at Indiana State last year. U-N-I had to rally for last week’s win and Farley says that has added to the confidence level of his team. He says there’s a sense on the team now that the third and fourth quarter is their time to make a move. He says the Illinois State game gave them more confidence because they were on the road. U-N-I is 5-1, with their only loss to Iowa State in the season opener.
