Police say the prints of a Minnesota sex offender do NOT match those taken from the crime scene involving the disappearance nine years ago of a Mason City T-V anchorwoman. Contrary to earlier reports by Minnesota television stations, the palm prints of Thomas Corscadden were not similar to those found at the Key Apartments crime scene involved in the abduction of Jodi Huisentruit. Lt. Ron Vande Weerd says the prints that were sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation lab after Minnesota authorities obtained a court order for the prints of Corscadden, who had been questioned by police after Huisentruit disappeared and is currently being held at the Minnesota Security Hospital in St. Peter. It’s the second time in a month that Minnesota T-V stations have jumped the gun on the Huisentruit investigation. Bones that were found in the Mason City area back on July 15th brought of flurry of out-of-state media to north-central Iowa, but the bones were not Huisentruit’s, but were a Mason City man who had been missing since 1995.
