Buena Vista steps out of Iowa Conference action this weekend by hosting Waldorf in a college football matchup. It has been a wild start to the season for the Beavers who lead the Iowa Conference race with a 4-0 record and have won all four in come from behind fashion. Buena Vista coach Steve Osterberger’s team has outscored their opponents 82-28 in the second half he says his players now believe they can get the job done. He says the players never get frustrated no matter what the deficit. He says they some how find a way to get things going and capitalize on mistakes and create big plays on offense and defense. A non-conference game in the middle of a league race can be a distraction but Osterberger says they are not approaching it that way. He says anytime that you can showcase yourself it’s good, as he says you only have 10 chances to play.
