A student from western Iowa’s Walnut Community Schools died Thursday after she fell from the hood of the vehicle she was riding on. The victim has been identified as 15-year old Jennifer Sandbothe, from Walnut. Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker explains what they know about the accident.. He says from what they understand, school dismissed at around 3:20 p.m. At 3:25 p.m, Walnut rescue got a call about in injury accident. Their investigation has thus far revealed that there were two females that were riding on the hood of a car driven by 16-year old Rachael Rieck, from Walnut. He says the joyride turned into trouble when the car turned. They turned a corner and a short time later Jennifer fell off, and was run over, suffering injuries to her head and shoulder area. Students from the school gathered at the school last night to try and deal with the tragedy, and school officials are expected to announce sometime today if there will be any changes in activities scheduled for today or this evening. Sheriff Danker says no charges have been filed in connection with the incident, which he says appears to have just been a tragic accident
