The state Racing and Gaming Commission continues its public hearing on new casino gambling licenses. Radio Iowa’s Dar Danielson reports from the hearing that it began this (Wednesday) at 8-30 AM and since then has paused for only about an hour, for lunch and bathroom breaks. Much of the afternoon conversation centered on whether a group seeking a gambling license for Fort Dodge used a proposed waterpark to lure voters out to approve a gambling referendum. Comments are expected to continue into late this afternoon. The commission’s then expected to discuss how many new licenses they are likely to grant.
