Search teams are out this morning near Creston, looking for the wreckage of a small plane that may have gone down in last night’s storms. The Union County law enforcement center received a telephone report after 8:30 P.M. Thursday of an airplane possibly down approximately three miles southeast of Creston. Two other people reported hearing a low flying airplane in the same time frame. Two thermal imagers, a four wheeler and several walkers attempted to locate any downed aircraft. The search was called off at 11 P.M. and the search resumed at 7 AM. Aviation officials in Fort Dodge say no one filed a flight plan to be in the Creston area at that time last night.
