A memorial service is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) for a boy who’s presumed to have drown Sunday near the northwest Iowa town of Alton. The search for four-year-old Breiton Ackerman will be suspended today to allow the child’s family to arrange the service. Searchers used dogs yesterday and found nothing. Ackerman was with family members fishing in a farm field when he vanished. Volunteers are being urged to stay away from the area to provide the best conditions for the dogs to resume their search after the service tomorrow.
