The Iowa State Patrol and the Adair and Cass County Sheriff’s Departments made a large drug bust of marijuana Thursday along Interstate 80 in south-central Iowa. Addair County Deputy Sheriff Jeff Vandewetter says Andrea Faga of Ukiah, California was stopped for speeding. Officers used a drug dog and found the pot after she gave them permission to search the flatbed truck that was licensed in Pennsylvania. He says they found 170 pounds of marijuana under the flatbed portion of the truck. Vandewetter says Faga had tried to make the truck look normal. He says access to the compartment that held the drugs was made through a toolbox that was welded to the truck. The 23-year-old Faga has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and a drug tax stamp violation.
