A Cedar Rapids man is facing several charges after fleeing when cops tried to arrest him. Cedar Rapids police attempted to stop a stolen car driven by 24-year-old Forrest Weger as he drove from an apartment complex. An officer deployed stop sticks, but Weger drove on with a shredded right rear tire. The pursuit ended on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids when Weger drove onto a curb and bailed out of the car. Cops captured him after a two-block chase no foot. Weger was charged with numerous traffic violations, to go along with felony warrants for escape, burglary, theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.
