A Davenport girl was left badly scarred in a dog attack and police want to charge the child’s mother. Davenport police have issued a child endangerment warrant for 27-year-old Adrian Frye who hasn’t yet been arrested. Police say Frye owned a large mixed-breed German shepherd that bit a child in July. A case worker warned Frye to get rid of the dog. A few days later, police say the same dog seriously injured the woman’s three-year-old daughter, with deep cuts to her head and face. Investigators say though — the girl wasn’t taken to the hospital for ten days. Doctors say she’ll have significant permanent scars. Both children were given rabies shots. The dog was euthanized.
