A Galva man’s facing several charges after leading officers from three western Iowa counties on a high-speed chase. Brent Wiethorn reports it began when authorities in Ida County tried to stop the driver yesterday (Sunday).The driver, 21-year-old Ryan Goettsch, sped away, leading officers on a half-hour pursuit that went through parts of Cherokee and Buena Vista COunties before it ended. Goettsch was charged with offenses including driving drunk, possession of alcohol, eluding officers, and speeding. Booked into the Ida County jail, Goettsch paid 500 dollars bond and was released. Two passengers in his car also were arrested, and charged with interfering with officers.
