This week’s snowstorm has been about the only thing thus far to slow the construction at Iowa’s four new casinos. General Manager Kevin Preston says things are looking good at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmettsburg in northcentral Iowa.He says they’re ahead of construction schedule and below budget. He says they should have the hotel and casino totally enclosed by December 1st. Preston says they feel lucky to be moving ahead so quickly. He says you don’t usually get weather with no snow and now rain and the construction crews have been able to speed up everything. Preston says they’ve also started the hiring process. He says they’ve started interviews for key positions and will start bringing in people in January. The casino is slated to open June 1st. Developers of the other three casinos say they’ve also benefited from good weather and construction is moving ahead.
