The junior pitcher posted a 3-0 record in leading ADM to a spot in the class 3A state tournament. In 21 innings, Ackelson yielded only one earned run and struck out 21 batters. She also helped her own cause at the plate by batting .500 with five RBIs and a couple of home runs. She was 4-4 with a homer, a double and three RBIs in a 6-0 victory over Atlantic.
