The Iowa Hawkeye men return to action on Thursday night when they host Michigan. The Hawks fell to 4-8 in the Big Ten with a 63-50 loss at Minnesota. Mistakes were a big factor as the Hawks committed 21 turnovers in falling to 11-14 overall.

Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says it’s impossible to win if you can’t pass and catch the ball. He says if the Hawks can cut down on turnovers they could be competitive in the league race. Lickliter says he refuses to believe they can’t do it, as they shoot the ball well, and defend with a purposed.

Senior center Seth Gorney talks about the turnovers. He says they try to throw the ball and aren’t precise in where they’re throwing it. After trailing the entire way the Hawks managed to take a 42-41 lead in the second half before the Gophers took control.
