A northeast Iowa man was killed Tuesday when his moped was struck by a pickup. The crash was reported around 7:15 a.m. on a county road just north of Reinbeck.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s office reports 55-year-old Albert Howard of Morrison was on a moped that was struck from behind by a pickup driven by 24-year-old Michael Seda of Reinbeck. Authorities say Seda went to pass the moped but struck it in the rear.
Howard was thrown from the moped and into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
