It is a busy week at the Knoxville Raceway where entries are coming in for next month’s Knoxville Nationals. The deadline is Saturday and general manager Brian Stickel says it will draw drivers from across the country and the world. “They come from Australia, New Zealand, Canada. We expect at total of just over 10 entries…it should be one of the best fields every assembled,” according to Stickel.

Stickel says as opposed to NASCAR events nearly all the entries come from individual drivers. He says each driver can only enter one car and he says there are few multi-car teams, but once they are out on the track “it’s every man for himself.”

The Knoxville Nationals will be August 6th through the 9th.
