Off to their best start in the Big Ten since 1970 the third ranked Iowa Hawkeyes face a huge test this evening with a visit to eighth ranked Maryland. The Terrapins are 6-2 in the league race and sophomore Melo Trimble is one of the top point guards in the country.

“He has got a lot of weapons around him”, said Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. “Anytime you have a guy like him and you put four other great players around him it makes it that much more difficult because if you are going to help you are going to give something up.”

The Hawkeyes are 7-0 in the Big Ten and have won their last six league road games dating back to last season.

It will be the only regular season meeting between Iowa and Maryland. Tipoff in the XFINITY Center is 6:05p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN.
