A north-central Iowa man, wanted in a kidnapping and assault case, is now in custody.
Police arrested 41-year-old Charles Albright at a home in rural Rockwell late Wednesday night. Authorities had been searching for Albright since October 7, when a 36-year-old woman claimed she’d been beaten and kidnapped. The victim called 9-1-1 from a business in Sheffield and said the incident started 15 miles away in Meservey.
Albright is being held in the Bremer County Jail in Waverly on charges of first-degree kidnapping and willful injury.
