) The state Racing and Gaming Commission appears to havestepped on several toes at the Capitol. The commission has voted to remove slot machines from casinos thatallow gamblers to use credit cards for cash advances. The commission’svote came after a warning from the Attorney General that such a move willbring a lawsuit against Iowa by credit card companies. Senate Republican leader Stewart Iverson says state gambling policy islegislators’ duty and they will quickly bring a bill to set the recordstraight. Iverson says he is among the growing number of lawmakers in DesMoines who support Governor Vilsack’s intention to replace the commissionmembers.
