Funny money found in Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs police say the arrest of the leader of a counterfeit money ring this weekend could lead to several more arrests. Police arrested25-year old James Ahrens after investigating several counterfeit bills that showed up in the community. Detective Al White says police seized750-dollars in counterfeit bills along with a printer, copier and other materials they believe Ahrens used to make the funny money. White says they money looked very realistic. White says there could still be several thousand counterfeit dollars circulating in the area. He says they expect to arrest eight or nine more people involved in the counterfeit ring.
