Two champions will be crowned tonight at the boy’s state basketball tournament. Pella Christian will try to avenge a loss to Iowa Falls in last year’s 2A title game. In class 2A, despite foul trouble for standout Nick Collison, top ranked Iowa Falls jumped out to an 18-point lead at the half in an 83-45 victory over Jesup. Ninth ranked Pella Christian held off a late rally by Fort Dodge St.Edmond for a 66-64 win. In class 3a Keokuk meets Davenport for the title. Fourth ranked Davenport Assumption outscored third ranked Western Christian 17-9 in overtime to postan 82-74 win, a game Assumption trailed by 16 in the first half. Matt Fitzpatrick led Assumption with 32-points. Top ranked Keokuk jumped out to a16-1 lead in the first quarter in A 75-41 victory over eighth ranked Algona. Craig Lewis led Keokuk with 21-points as the school makes its first titlegame appearance since 1952.
