Minnesota firm looks at opening Davenport business

March 24, 1999 By admin

A Minnesota cabinet maker says it may reopen a Davenport cabinet company if it gets some concessions from the city. Cannon Valley Woodwork of Minnesota purchased the assets of the closed Brammer Manufacturing. Cannon Valley says it will consider reopening the plant if the city drops leins against the plant for 500-thousand dollars in city loans. Some Davenport Aldermen are against dropping the leins, saying that is the only way the city can get its money back.
