DNR eoncourages Iowans to take up fishing

The Department of Natural Resources is encouraging Iowans to learn alifelong sport this spring. Fishing clinics are planned all over the stateso beginning anglers can get some pointers. DNR Aquatic EducationCoordinator Barb Gigar says fishing is a sport for all ages.Gigar says the clinics are designed for youth, but interested adults areencouraged to attend.Iowa boasts over two-hundred public lakes and 50-thousand miles of riversand streams for fishing. For more information on a fishing clinic near you,contact your local conservation office or the D-N-R.
