John Deere sues Japanese firm

Iowa’s biggest tractor maker is taking on its Japanese rival in aninternational legal battle. Quad City-based Deere and Company is suingKubota of Japan for patent infringement. Deere spokesman KenGolden says Kubota stole a suspension design from a Deere lawn & gardentractor.In the suit filed in U-S District Court in Rock Island, Illinois, Deeredemands that Kubota stop using the designs it stole and pay undisclosedmonetary damages.
