Range’s future as a Hawkeye still in question

The future of Joey Range as a member of the Iowa basketball team remainsuncertain. Hawkeye coach Steve Alford said today that Range is not activelytaking part in the team’s off-season workouts. There had been speculationthat Range would transfer after Alford was named the new coach but he laterannounced he would remain in Iowa City. Alford says he would like all the current players to remain but says thereare standards they must meet.Alford says he would not use the term “suspension” in describing Range’ssituation.
