Truck/train wreck leaves charcol spread about

A Missouri trucker who tried to beat a train in the Quad Cities lost — andthere’s charcoal all over the tracks. Darrell Quick was hauling bags of charcoal in his semi in Davenport alongthe river. Police say he was going to deliver it to a nearby warehouse whenhe turned in front of a freight train. The train hit the trailer,scattering the charcoal all over. Fortunately, Quick wasn’t hurt. Quicksays he didn’t see the train until it was too late.Quick is charged with failure to stop properly at a railroad crossing.
