Two new teams top Radio Iowa baseball poll

There are two new top ranked teams in the latest Radio Iowa/Baseball CoachesAssociation High School poll. At 12-1 on the season, Iowa City high movesinto the top spot in class 4A after previsouly top ranked and defendingstate champion Des Moines Lincoln dropped three games on the week. therailsplitters fall all the way to tenth. Bettendorf is second, Sioux CityNorth, Dubuque Wahlert and Marshalltown complete the top five. 16-3 AlgonaGarrigan takes over as the top rated team in 2A. Garrigan’s quick start tothe season has been bolstered by the long ball as they have racked up34-home runs already. previously top ranked Iowa Falls drops to second.Council Bluffs St. Albert, Sergeant Bluff-Luton and Osage complete the topfive. Davenport Assumption remains top ranked in 3A followed byVinton-Shellsburg, Charles City, Knoxville and Perry. Lisbon remains topranked in 1A. Iowa Valley is second, Granville Spalding, Nora Springs-RockFalls and Storm Lake St. Marys complete the top five.
