Louisiana leader in trouble over caucuses

The chairman of Louisiana’s Republican Party is in hotwater — partlybecause of Louisana’s efforts to overshadow Iowa’s presidential caucuses. Louisiana Republicans plan to hold caucuses in late January — ahead ofIowa’s previously-first-in-the-nation caucuses. Louisiana G.O.P. ChairmanMike Francis was the subject of a “no-confidence” vote by party leaders lastnight.John Treen, a Louisiana G.O.P. leader says the chairman fired the top staffpeople at Louisiana Republican Party headquarters on Monday.
