Regents approve second reading of new budgets

The State Board of Regents approved a preliminary budget for the three stateuniversities which calls for a 60-million dollar increase over last year.Regents executive secretary Frank Stork says the increase meets the school’splans.Stork says the universities presented good cases for the increase.The Regents will give final approval to the spending plans at their Julymeeting.
