Mobile meth lab explodes

State troopers say a mobile methamphetamine lab exploded as it sped downInterstate 80 this morning, injuring two of the three people inside a sportutility vehicle.Highway Patrol spokesman Sergeant Dave Garrison says the two people werepicked up near the Brooklyn exit of I-80, about halfway between Des Moines &Iowa City. Garrison says the driver of the vehicle apparently let the twoinjured people out, then took off, and is still at large.The names of the two people in custody have not been released. The extent oftheir injuries are not known.
