University of Iowa quarterback Randy Reiners was arrested overnight in IowaCity on an alcohol charge. Reiners was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Officers from theuniversiyt of iowa department of public safety responded to a call to aparking ramp at the University of Hospital and Clinics. Hospital securityhad reporteded a man was sleeping or passed out in the ramp. Officersarrested Reiners shortly before three a.m. The senior-to-be from Fort Dodgehas been a part-time starter for the Hawkeyes the past two seasons. It’shis second alcohol-related arrest. He was arrested in Iowa City on adrunken driving charge in January of 1998.
